IC forklift refers to the forklift that uses diesel, gasoline or liquefied petroleum gas as fuel and is powered by the engine. The load capacity is 0.5 tons to 45 tons. IC forklifts are generally divided into balanced weight IC forklifts, container forklifts (front lifts) and side forklifts.
(1) Check before starting the engine
Check whether there are new oil stains on the ground, look for oil leakage, and determine the operation or maintenance according to the leakage; check whether the engine oil, cooling water, diesel oil, hydraulic oil, and brake fluid are sufficient, and pay attention to the cleanliness of the oil; check whether the tire pressure is adequate, whether the wear is excessive, whether the rim crakes, and whether the fastening bolts are tight and complete. Check whether the steering system and brake system meet the requirements under static conditions. There is no aging damage on steering hydraulic tubing and it is fixed firmly. When the tooth is fully pulled, the operating force of the handbrake lever is 1500 to 330 N, and the free stroke of the brake pedal is 8 to 15 mm. When it reaches the maximum braking force, the first foot of pedal stroke can reach the maximum braking force and will not exceed 4/5 of the full stroke. The holding time of the maximum braking force (that is, the pedal of non-assist braking system does not move down, while the pedal of assist braking system does not rebound or move down) is 1min. Check whether there are cracks in the fan blade and whether the belt tightness is appropriate. Check whether the lights (small and big lights, turn signals, and brake lights) and horn are normal.
(2) Driving of IC forklifts
Operators must obey the driving rules and consciously limit the speed when driving the IC forklift in the factory. Generally, the speed is decided according to the following conditions: The speed should be less than or equal to 10 km/h on straight, hard, dry and clean road surface where there is no stacking, no turn-off and no parking vehicles, and the sight is good; on general road or at turnings, the speed should be less than or equal to 5 km/h when the road in the warehouse is wide and long with good line of sight and no pedestrians; the speed should be less than or equal to 3 km/h on narrow passageways, intersections, loading and unloading sites and places where people and vehicles are mixed, the sight is poor, and the forklift is backing up.
Forklifts are strictly prohibited to carry people, coast with engine off, carry out out-of-gear coasting or slide while stepping down the clutch; the gear should be lowered in advance on the uphill and downhill, and the gear should not be towed on the uphill; concentration is required while driving, and operators should drive carefully and maintain a safe speed. Operators should always pay attention to the activity of pedestrians and vehicles, maintain a transverse safety distance and longitudinal safety distance with other vehicles or pedestrians, and beware of pedestrians or vehicles suddenly cross the road; do not drive sideways, and do not make a turn or load and unload on ramps.
